AASHTO R 35 – Standard Practice for Superpave Volumetric Design for Asphalt Mixtures
This standard practice for mix design evaluation uses aggregate and mixture properties to produce a hot mix asphalt (HMA) job-mix formula. The mix design is based on the volumetric properties of the asphalt mixture in terms of the air voids, voids in the mineral aggregate (VMA), and voids filled with asphalt (VFA).
